The people are awesome the plays are family friendly and right in point. The actress's and actors are so professional and I love it.
Fantastic performances! We went recently and I hadn't been in years and actors were still professional and talented. Love the smaller setting and that you can bring food and drinks. Great atmosphere!
A couple things to note: the seating is a little cramped and most people had to share tables with other guests. It didn't both us but I imagine that someone a bit claustrophobic might want to be more particular about the seats that they reserve. Also, I'm pretty sure the cabaret doesn't provide drinking glasses so that's something to keep in mind when bringing a bottle of wine.
If you have not been to the Downtown Cabaret Theater in Bridgeport, you are missing out BIG time! The talent is phenomenal and the prices are incredibly inexpensive! For $120, you get to see FIVE shows (ONE Broadway ticket cost more than that)! The price includes parking which would normally be $10 per show. In addition, at each performance subscribers get a free snack (candy bar or popcorn) with a bottled water.
Most importantly, the performance was INCREDIBLE and was by far one of the most well done musicals I have ever seen outside of the NYC area (if not just as good as some Broadway performances). We will definitely be back!

We had a GREAT time at the Cabaret Theatre during their performance of "Spring Awakening". I had never been to a BYOB theatre before and was a bit nervous about bringing too much food and wine. My boyfriend and I opted for going to a nearby restaurant for dinner, and then brought light snacks and wine to the show. As soon as we arrived at the theatre, I quickly saw that I shouldn't have been nervous. Patrons were arriving with coolers full of food and multiple bottles of booze. The couple next to us had ordered food to-go and were eating their dinners out of containers.
